THINGS I LIKE

IS IT TUESDAY

MAX LAMB

SAN FRANCISCO

BE WELL:

RAINBOW GROCERY has an incredible and organic everything, including a health and self-care section of great joy! If you spend over $100 you get 10% off. It's a worker owned cooperative and the workers are the best most lovely odd bunch ever gathered under one grocery roof. When I first lived in San Francisco I would wander the isles for long stretches in awe. The cheese section is rivaled by few and they will keep an index card for you where they will record your purchases if you so desire. YES. Also the bulk section outstrips any and book selection is tops.

THE SCARLET SAGE is an amazing herbal apothecary and the ladies who work their know their shit. I have learned much in this shop and found solutions to things I might have given up on curing naturally without this resource. If I"m not well it's my first stop before going to see...

DOCTOR AVRIL SWAN who has been a nurturing, kind and progressive doctor to work with. She is part of the Whole Family practice in Noe Valley. Sadly, they don't take insurance up front, you have to pay and they will submit to your insurance.

LAM KONG runs a traditional acupuncture practice in Oakland. He usually puts needles in the ear only and I find I almost always nap instantly. No web, phone only: 415.397.3029

DOCTOR BARBARA BERKELEY has been kind enough to fix that which is out of wack on many occasions now. She runs a wholistic chiropractic office in the Mission.

TO THE EAST

PETER KLAUDSTRUP has abilities that can't really be explained totally, if you're in the Rochester/ Fairport/ Motherland area I suggest seeing him. You will feel better than before. No web, phone only: 585.425.3626
